Well today was supposed to be a great day. It's my dad's 50th birthday for one, and my best friend is coming over this evening to spend the night and we're going to have dinner with friends across the street from my grandparents' house, but it turned out to be a sad start for today. I found out earlier when I called home to wish Dad a happy b-day that my great uncle just passed away this morning. He'd been having a very rough time for a long while now, we didn't know how much longer he had to live. I'd been praying for him and his wife, my aunt, but it looks as if God decided it was his time today to go home. I'm just grateful that my uncle finally accepted peace with God and accepted him into his life, because for the most part of his life, he was aethiest (sorry if I spelled that wrong). I just hope he's at peace now. I will continue to pray for my aunt and the rest of the family. Maybe I'll still have a good day, but it'll still be sad as I think about how little I knew of my uncle and wished I'd been able to see him more.
